VINASME and SHB bank agreed on the comprehensive cooperation content in supporting SMEs

On March 3, in Hanoi, leaders of Vietnam Association of Small and Medium Enterprises (VINASME) and Saigon - Hanoi Commercial Joint Stock Bank (SHB) discussed on the comprehensive cooperation agreement in supporting VINASME's members.

Attending the discussion, there were Mr. Pham Huy Hung - Vice Chairman, Mr. Tran Van Hien - Deputy Head of Training and Membership Department, Mr. Nguyen Hoang Lan – Assistant to the Chairman. From SHB side, there were Mr. Vu Tuan Anh - Director of Corporate Banking Division, Ms. Ninh Thi Lan Phuong - Deputy General Director of SHB, Ms. Vu Thi Nguyet Anh - Deputy Director of Center for Research, Market Development and Big Customer Partners, with other representatives.

At the meeting, VINASME and SHB bank agreed with the draft of a comprehensive cooperation agreement within 3 years. Accordingly, SHB and VINASME will coordinate to survey the needs of VINASME’s members in each locality so that SHB can develop policies, products and services that best suit each member according to the characteristics of the industry and locality. SHB and VINASME agreed to implement financial support programs for VINASME members, especially in accessing bank's capital.

As expected, the signing ceremony of a comprehensive cooperation agreement between SHB and VINASME will be held on March 12 in Hanoi. Then, between April and May 2020, there will be a customer conference in Hai Phong and Quang Ninh to provide solutions for SMEs to access to bank capital; and to Introduce credit policies and products of SHB. At the same time, the conference will introduce a support program for SMEs in order to export through Amazon e-commerce trading floor.

VINASME proposed some recommendations for the partnership agreement.

Mr. Pham Huy Hung – Vice Chairman of VINASME – said it is important how the parties connect to implement the plan which will have been set. Mr. Hung suggested that SHB can actively connect with the SME associations in areas where SHB has branches. Thereby, they will understand the situation of businesses and bring appropriate solutions to the forums.

Moreover, VINASME and SHB have agreed to extend the scope of the conference in Hai Phong and Quang Ninh to 1 day instead of half a day as before. Mr. Hien - Deputy Head of Training and Membership Department also proposed to invite some experts who are members of the association and operating in the field of technology to optimize governance skills for businesses.

Mr. Vu Tuan Anh - Director of Corporate Banking Division highly appreciates the cooperation between VINASME and HSB.

Mr. Vu Tuan Anh - Director of SHB Corporate Banking Division shared that SME customers are one of the main priorities of SHB in 2020 and the following years. The operational orientation of SHB is retail banking, so SME customers are given top priority. As a result, SHB has built several products as well as connected with partners to implement incentives for the SME community, including credit policies, interest rates and other capital sources.

"One of SHB's business strategies in 2020 and the years to come is to connect with partners and business associations to develop a SME customer data in localities. In fact that the cooperation between SHB and VINASME is definitely the basis for SHB to reach SME customers really well, and is also an opportunity for SHB to provide solutions and advice for SMEs, thereby helping SHB to perform both business roles and their social responsibility, "said Mr. Vu Tuan Anh.
