Hanoi Architecture University received First-Class Labor Medal
On September 17 in Hanoi, the Hanoi University of Architecture (HAU) celebrated the 50th anniversary of construction and development (1969 - 2019) and received the First-Class Labor Medal.
Mr. Nguyen Hanh Phuc - Member of the Executive Committee of the Party Central Committee, General Secretary, Chairman of the National Assembly Office presented the First-Class Labor Medal to HAU
Speaking at the ceremony, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Le Quan - Secretary of the Party Committee, Rector of Hanoi Architectural University said: with nearly 60 years of tradition of training architects. from the opening days of the first architecture class at HAU in 1961, on September 17, 1969, the Government Council issued Decision No. 181/CP establishing the HAU – its Cabinet with 2 majors of subject of architecture and engineering. Over the past years, HAU has gone through many historical periods associated with the development history of the construction industry and defense of the Fatherland, in each period, from the early days of establishment with initially difficult steps to the stages of continuous change, during the resistance war to unite the country, the last period of renovation after the historic victory, today, in the period of industrialization and modernization of the country, the imprints of generations of teachers and students of HAU is present in many architectural and construction works in urban areas throughout the country. The achievements in all aspects are enormous creating a proud tradition that today's generations of teachers and students will promote and step forward in the future.

In recognition of the outstanding achievements in education and training over the years, important contributions to the cause of socialism, and the defense of the Fatherland, on this occasion, the President of Socialist Republic of Vietnam has made a decision to award the First-Class Labor Medal to HAU. This is a great source of encouragement for the collective of officials, staff, lecturers, and its students on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of its founding and also a motivation to push the university to make more efforts to deserve the title awarded by the Party and Government.
